John 1: 14
Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.
In another translation of this verse from St John’s Gospel, the writer says this:
The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighbourhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, generous inside and out, true form start to finish. (The Message Bible)
If God is with us – Emmanual – and we are the Body of Christ, how do we live in our own neighbourhoods – at home and at work?
How might we as individual Christians and as a Church become increasingly a living expression of Jesus in our communities of work and home? What could it look like?
Offer your thoughts to God in prayer.
