child protection policy
For Parents and Carers
In the Parish of St Alphege we have a child protection policy and procedures for all work with young people. For your peace of mind here are some highlighted points taken from the policy:
All staff and volunteers are screened through the Criminal Records Bureau and receive ongoing guidance and training in the policy, procedure and implementation of the child protection policy. As part of this training staff and volunteers are given instruction in appropriate behaviour with young people to ensure the protection of both the young people and the staff/volunteers. Should additional teaching be needed staff and volunteers are also encouraged to pursue further training courses. There will always be the correct ratio of adults to young people to ensure protection for everyone involved.
