| Guardians of St Alphege Church | | | Activity : | | | History | | | This Association is a Registered Charity formed in 1981 in response to anxiety about increasing costs of repairs to the church fabric. It is non-denominational and entirely independent. The Guardians’ main objective is to raise funds and invest them in order to assist the Parochial Church Council in paying for any major repairs. The Guardians also aim to promote interest in the history and architecture of the church.Membership is open to all those who wish to safeguard the fabric of the church by helping to provide funds so that preservation can be maintained in the future as it has been over the past eight centuries. The Guardians rely on members’ subscriptions for most of their funds. Donations are also gratefully received.Enquiries about membership or donations to the Chairman.Mr Michael Palmer 01675 442805. | | | Church : | | | St Alphege | | | | | Venue : | | | Various | | | | | Age Groups : | | | All Ages | | | | | Regularity : | | | Occasionally | | | | | Contact : | | | The Guardians website |
