Parish Garden Party
The weather was good enough for everyone to enjoy the traditional Garden Party
outdoors. The Mayor and Mayoress of Solihull opened the event and stayed to
enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. 'Quintessentially English' was how the Mayor
summed up the afternoon.

Welcome to the Parish of Solihull |
|
The Parish of Solihull is part of the Church of England. It is committed to
serving the whole of the people of Solihull, not just those who attend its
churches. In other words, the parish is here for YOU. |
|
A Sanctuary of
Peace
Starting in September, St Helen's Chapel will be open from
7-9pm on Thursday evenings for prayer, reflection, or lighting a candle for a
loved one.

The parish is made up of four churches - not just buildings, but living
communities of ordinary people who worship God together, support and encourage
one another and serve the world in which they live. They are made up of people
of all ages, from 0 to 100, and from all walks of life.
These churches are part of the life of our town: they are places where people
come to give thanks, to celebrate, to mourn and to mark the important stages on
the journey of life. They are places where anybody and everybody is welcome, at
any time.
|
Christians believe that God's love is for everyone and that he wants to share
that love with all people.
The churches in the Parish of Solihull - St Alphege -
St Catherine - St Helen - St Michael - are a small part of God's work in the
world. In our life and work we aim to show God's love to all people, regardless
of their beliefs or background. |
