Solihull Parish is a church of all ages, desiring to serve one another and the whole community so that all may know the light and love of Jesus. Through our worship we give glory to God and grow in our relationship with Jesus. Through our fellowship we are inspired by the Holy Spirit to encourage one another and reach our full potential as the people of God.

Something for Everyone!

The Parish has many groups you can join. There are groups for worship-related activities like music, bellringing, altar servers, and prayer. Some groups are for children and young people. Some concentrate on social interaction. Some give opportunities for learning about the faith. And some serve the community by running things like the Bookstall, the Parish News magazine, or the website. Have a look under the broad ‘categories’ below for a brief overview of each group.

St Alphege Fayre : Saturday 26th April

The annual St Alphege Fayre, supported again by Solihull MBC, was celebrated this year on Saturday 26th April, 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. This was a week later than usual, as the actual feast day of St Alphege this year falls on Holy Saturday, when it would have been inappropriate for the Fayre to be held. The St Alphege patronal festival was celebrated on Sunday 27th April.

As a church we participated in the Fayre again as much as possible. The event gave us a unique opportunity to bring the significance of St Alphege and of our church to the local community.

Thanks to all for the help on the day.

Thanks to The Guardians of St Alphege Parish Church for refreshments

Last year Central Solihull raised over £13,000 during Christian Aid Week so, while door knocking is not everyone’s favourite activity, it is a core element of our fundraising.
If you feel able to volunteer, please see the co-ordinator in your church, who will be happy to kit you out with all the necessary. If you cannot collect, then do ‘Count your Blessings’ during Lent, invite friends and neighbours to a Super Soup Lunch and come and pray for our collectors at the service.
Many more ideas and info:

Sunday 11th May : 6.30pm at St Helen’s Church St Helen’s Road B91 2DA
Time to reflect on needs around our world and pray for those engaged on our behalf - and our street-collectors.

Tickets: £6.00 per person or £40.00 for a table of 8 (all income from tickets will go to charities) can be purchased from Paula McClenaghan or Johanna Sahi-Proto on Sundays at St Helen’s or e-mail us at
