Thursday 4th January 2018 - 1.30pm in the Oliver Bird Hall

One hundred years ago, on 11th January 1918, women were finally granted the vote following many years of struggle by the Suffragettes.

Susan Leach, whose great aunts were Suffragettes who suffered the indignity of imprisonment for their beliefs, will talk about the history of the Suffragette Movement illustrated and brought to life with images and sound clips from the time. Susan will bring along a prison certificate and other historical items.
This will be one of the regular Mothers’ Union meetings, but because it is the 100th Anniversary of winning the vote, it may be of wider interest.
Everyone is invited to come. £3 entry including refreshments.
1.30pm - Thursday 4th January 2018 in the Oliver Bird Hall, Church Hill Road, Solihull B91 3RQ
