On Sunday 18th July, the ladies who lead the Baptism Preparation Classes were commissioned by Fr Tim and Fr Patrick at the 9.15am service.

Every couple wishing to have their child baptised must attend a meeting at which it is explained to them what baptism means; it is the job of the baptism preparation ladies to assist the priest at the meeting. The ladies commissioned were –Stephanie Collins, Rebecca Davies, Karen Jackson, Alison Pratt, and Cheryl Wells, and the baptism visitor - Carol Caldicott who visits each family and gives them the baptism certificate after the ceremony. Jackie Forsyth also assists in baptism preparation, but was unable to be present at the service. All the ladies are members of Mothers’ Union.
