for children at St Michael's
Children and families are an important part of the community of St Michael’s. The following regular groups aim to help our children to find their place in the family of St Michael's and to learn more about living the Christian faith.
Crèche
During our 10.30am service on Sundays we have a lively crèche for our youngest members (0-5 yrs). They are looked after by the crèche leaders, so that parents can join in the main service, though you can stay with your child if you prefer. The children take part in activities related to the church themes of the day including games, stories, craft and singing.
Sunday Club
Also during the 10.30am service we have a fun Sunday Club for older children (6-11 yrs). The children learn about the life of the Christian faith through story, discussion, creative writing, craft, drama and reflection.
Please note that all of our Sunday group leaders undergo a CRB check.
Little Angels
Once a month, we run Little Angels - a group for pre-school children which has a fun, relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
At Little Angels we sing, dance, listen to stories, learn about God, play games, make things and have lots of fun! It's also a good place to make new friends and for parents and carers to chat and have a cup of tea!
Little Angels meets on the last Tuesday of each month at St Michael's Chapel, from 12.00 noon until 1.00pm. If you would like to, please bring along a picnic lunch too!
