services at St Michael's

Sunday Worship

Our main service takes place at 10.30am and is a celebration of the Holy Eucharist with a Sunday Club and creche for children.

After the Service
Please stay for coffee, tea and squash and a chat. Also, please browse our second-hand bookshop and produce stall which sells hand-made cakes and biscuits, fresh garden produce, hand-made cards and hand-knitted garments.

All-Age Service
On the second Sunday of each month, the morning service is designed for all ages to worship together. The service lasts for about 45 minutes: a mixture of fun activities, lively songs and creative prayers, though quiet worship and reflection often plays a part too.

All-Age services take place each month and on special occasions such as Mothering Sunday, Harvest Festival and Remembrance Sunday. Our Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers and Cubs also attend and take part in these services.

On the second Sunday of the month, there is a celebration of the Holy Eucharist at St Michael's Chapel at 4.30pm. This simple service lasts for about half an hour.

Weekday Services
On a Wednesday mornings there is a celebration of the Holy Eucharist at St Michael's Chapel at Oak Cottage at 10am. This service lasts for half an hour, and coffee is served afterwards.

Baptisms and Weddings
St Michael’s Chapel is a beautiful venue for Baptisms (Christenings) and Weddings. To find out more about these services, please contact the Vicar on 704 4730.

During the month of August, while the school is closed for the summer holidays, our Sunday services are held jointly with St Helen’s in their church building.
