St Alphege Platinum Jubilee Concert

On Saturday 11th June, people from across Solihull are invited to an evening of celebratory music to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The programme will include coronation music such as Zadok the Priest by Handel and O Taste and See by Vaughan Williams, as well as works by Stanford and Wesley, and a newly composed anthem ‘In our Service’ by Thomas Hewitt-Jones. The concert features St Alphege Church Choirs and a professional orchestra. The conductor is Christopher Martin Thomas with organist Martin Overbury. This concert is generously supported by the Solihull Celebrating Communities Fund so admission will be free of charge.
