Welcome

Welcome to the Solihull Team of Churches – St Alphege, St Helen and St Michael. It’s an exciting place to be!

Our vision is growing disciples, building community, and transforming lives. This informs everything we do. At the centre of our life together is worship of God. We worship in a variety of settings and styles: some quiet, some noisy, some informal, some formal.

We have a superb musical heritage with growing choirs that have featured on the BBC, and St Alphege was recently accepted as one of only two parish churches in England to be members of the Friends of Cathedral Music. We also have worship bands to accompany some of our more informal services.

People of all ages and backgrounds worship across our congregations, and we welcome everyone. Our work with children, families and young people is vibrant and growing. We are served by a dedicated ministry team of priests and lay people, including paid staff and volunteers, across three unique church centres.

Our vision is to see people grow in their discipleship so that we can make a positive difference in the places where we live and work. We offer a variety of groups and courses at every stage of your faith journey, from those seeking God, or unsure what they believe, through to lifelong Christians.

For the coming season, our key mission priorities are:

  • To nurture young people and their families in the Christian faith;
  • To provide learning opportunities to equip disciplines and leaders on their faith journey;
  • To become more outward looking to serve the communities in our borough;
  • To encourage active engagement by church congregations and individuals on issues of social justice and climate change with the aim of moving closer to being carbon neutral.

We want to do all we can to help you feel at home quickly. Do please introduce yourself to members of the team. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please ask : 0121 705 5350 or email the Parish Office.

We look forward to meeting you!
